Nancy A. (Myers) Messinger, age 73, wife of the late Arthur R. Messinger of 1008 Paradise Rd., Swampscott, died in the Life Care Center, Lynn following a long illness. A lifelong resident of Swampscott, Mrs. Messinger was the daughter of the late Daniel Joseph and Gertrude Elizabeth (Coletti) Myers. Following her graduation from Swampscott High School in the Class of 1948, Mrs. Messinger was employed by the Cotter Insurance Agency in Lynn until marrying her late husband. A dedicated wife and mother, she was active in her children's activities including, The Swampscott Little League, Pop Warner Football and the Swampcott Youth Hockey Program. Mrs. Messinger is survived by four children Ellen J. Hughes, Glenn A., Charles W., and Richard A. Messinger, owner of Swampscott Carpet Cleaning Co. all of Swampscott; one granddaughter Danielle M. Messinger of Amesbury; two brothers Daniel P. and Robert E. Meyers, both of Swampscott. She was predeceased by a son Russell A. Messinger.

Services were held in March of 2004 with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 174 Humphrey St., Swampcott. Visiting hours were held on Friday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and from 7 to 9 PM. Committal services will be held in Swampscott Cemetery. Flowers would be appreciated by the family.
