Salem- Nancy L. Burnett (80), of Salem, passed away on Sunday August 16, 2026 at her home in Salem. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Geraldine (Foote) and Samuel Burnett. Lifelong resident of Salem, she grew up going to Salem schools before going onto working for Analogic as an accountant. Outside of her work, she loved quilting, ceramics, genealogy, and volunteering. An active parishioner at the Wesley Church in Salem, she volunteered her time there with fellow members of the church. Additionally, Nancy was also a member of the Navy Reserves.

Nancy is survived by: her brothers Norman Burnett Sr and Larry Burnett, her nephews David Burnett, Norman Burnett Jr, Joseph Burnett, Patrick Deshane, Gary Deshane, her nieces Michele Cote, Brenda Rush, and her best friends Betty Bovio and Beverly Parsley.

Nancy is predeceased by her sister Sandra Blanchard and her nephew Matthew Burnett.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 25, 2026 at 12:00pm at the Salem Wesley Church, 8 North St, Salem, MA 01970 (parking available across the street at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. Salem). Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 57 Orn St. Salem. Visiting hours will be held prior to the services from 10:30am to 11:45am at the Murphy Funeral Home.
