Mildred "Millie" Swiniarski age 99, a longtime resident of Danvers and Peabody, died December 16, 2012 in the Cedar Glen Nursing Home, Danvers, surrounded by her family.



Born in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Gattinella) Pappalardo, she was raised in Salem and attended local schools.



Mrs. Swiniarski for 44 years prepared the altar for daily mass at St Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody where was a longtime member of the St. Thomas Morning Group.



A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she was dedicated to her family and friends. She enjoyed crotcheting, playing Bingo as well as occasional trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City. Millie was always "Dressed to the Nines" every single day, and focused her activities on family, church and friends.



She is survived by two children Ann Chandler and her husband, George of Danvers and John Swiniarski and his wife Mimi of Beverly; a brother, Frank Pappalardo of Salem; four grandchildren Wendy and her husband Dan Dupuis of Concord, NH, Holly and her husband Greg Legault of Concord, MA, Carrie and her husband Larry Meyers of Lancaster, PA and Andy and his wife Amy Swiniarski of Danvers; eight grandchildren Meredith, Alison, Corbin, Courtney, Trent, Sophie, Henri and Julia and many nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by a sister Sandra Cirinna and three brothers, Sebastian and Paul Pappalardo and Samuel Papalardo.



Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 9:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (corner of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be at St. Mary's Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Thomas the Apostle Church Altar Fund, 1 Margin St, Peabody, MA 01960.
