Michael Paul Walsh, 59, son of Syna (Chaet) Walsh of Salem and the late George J. Walsh, died Monday morning June 15, 2020, at Salem Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born in Salem, Michael attended Salem Public Schools and had resided in Salem.
Michael was an avid car salesman for Ford under the Kelly, Thomas, and York dealerships, where he won many awards. He enjoyed golfing on the weekends and was a huge fan of the Patriots. He loved spending time with his son William and enjoyed going to the Celtics games with him and his brother Kevin. He also loved and enjoyed his loyal companion, his dog Maxwell Junior.
Surviving him, in addition to his mother, are his children Samantha Walsh of Wakefield, David and William Walsh of Peabody, and his seven brothers and sisters, Janys Walsh of Danbury, N.H., Shelley Walsh of Lawrence, James and Kevin Walsh, all of Salem, Karen Walsh of Lynn, Valerie Tinkham and her husband, Bruce, of Danvers, Kimberly (Walsh) Comeau and her husband, Marc, of Rowley; and his many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind the mother of his children Heather (Walsh) Grant of Peabody.
He is predeceased by his brother Sean Walsh of Salem.
