December 7, 1965 – October 20, 2024
Michael Robert Sax, age 58, of Salem, MA passed away much too soon on October 20, 2024. He passed peacefully surrounded by family, music, and love. Michael was the beloved husband of Carol Ann Eldridge-Sax with whom he shared 33 years of marriage.
Born on December 7, 1965, he grew up in Georgetown, Massachusetts. Michael worked at Electric Insurance for 25 years in many roles, his most recent as an Internal Auditor. He was not only a dedicated professional, but also a loving family member and friend. He was known for his passion for music and his love of cornhole. He could be found on the local cornhole circuit playing for both the Ipswich Bay and Newburyport cornhole leagues. He could also be found daily on the sidewalk of Broad Street throwing his cornhole bags with anyone who wanted to play.
Known for his great sense of humor, Michael brought joy and laughter to those around him. Whenever he entered a room, his presence was felt, as he had a unique ability to light up any space.
In addition to Carol, Michael leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and humor through his children Morgan Sax of Salem, Benjamin Sax and his wife JaLisa of Allendale, MI and Noah Sax of Salem. His mother and stepfather Nancy and Larry Kozlowski of Georgetown, Siblings Debbie Spano, Chris Kozlowski and Melissa Garland, Father-in-Law John Eldridge, Brothers-in-law Mark Eldridge & wife Colleen (Michael's bestie), Jack Eldridge & wife Connie, his sister-in-law Christine Hunt, and many nieces & nephews who loved their Uncle Michael.
