Michael J. Roddy, 55, of Revere Ma., passed away suddenly at home on January 20, 2018.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Salem, Ma. He was the son of the late William T. and Barbara A. Walsh(Dunajski) and also the brother of the late Joseph P. Roddy . Upon graduating from Salem Vocational High School, he enlisted in the US Navy where he was a "SeaBee" stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After discharge he returned home where he continued his career as a plumber in the Plumbing Industry.

He is survived by his siblings, William T. Walsh II of Salem NH, and Christine M. Derby of Salem Ma. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews to which he took great pride in being Godfather to most of them, and was affectionately known as their "Uncle Mike". A kind gentle soul with a big heart, he will be greatly missed.

Per Michael's request, there will be no services. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Veteran's organization of your choice.
