Michael Burt Pereira

On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Michael Burt Pereira, loving son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 33, following a brief illness.

Michael was born on March 27, 1992 in Beverly, MA to Linda Burt Richard and the late Armando Pereira. Michael graduated from St. Joseph School in Salem and went onto graduate from North Shore Tech in Middleton. Mike had a heart of gold – pure, kind to a fault, and the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He had a beautiful smile, a goofy sense of humor, and a gentle way about him that drew dogs and children close.

Michael loved music, cars, cooking, and animals, especially his beloved cat Jimmy. He made his own music, and had an eye for beauty. He took beautiful pictures of the world around him, though he never liked his own picture taken.

He will be remembered for his generosity, his warmth, and the quiet love he gave so freely.

Michael is survived by his mom and step-dad, Linda and David Richard of Salem, his brother Sam Pereira of Salem, his sister Kathy Drew of York, ME, his grandfather, George Burt of Peabody and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to his father, Michael was predeceased by his grandmother, Barbara Burt.

Visitation and funeral services for Michael will be private.
