Michael Robert Paul, age 52 passed away on October 15, 2019 at Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Luzinski) Paul.

Born in Danvers, Michael was the son of Robert J. And Ann (McGroarty) Paul. He was raised in Salem and graduated from St. Johns Prep and attended Worcester Poly Tech and Framingham State College. He worked as a maintenance technician for Lincoln Property Management and Brooksby Village after being an EMT/Chair Van Driver around the North Shore for many years.

Michael loved watching football, especially the Patriots. The Celtics and basketball was becoming a close second, since that is what Timothy really enjoys. It kept them close and that is what Michael wanted. His collection of music, movies, sports collectibles and completed puzzles were impressive to all who saw it.

Michael loved being at home in his yard puttering, listening to music in the garage and having friends over in the summer for pool parties. He looked forward to trips to New Hampshire each year and had many fond memories of visiting Martha's Vineyard as a child and later with his family.

He loved being a uncle to his nieces and nephews and was always the silly guy at their birthday parties when they were little. He loved holding anyone's babies, until they cried of course.

Michael and Mary were married for 23 years and attended many sporting events and concerts together, and were always talking about who to see next. He always said he was so lucky have her by his side.

The time spent with his children was the most cherished. Listening to his "Sweetie Pops" Erin talk about her day and Tim sharing his tales of college life made him so proud and full of joy.

Michael had many dear friends that have done so much for us as he faced his illness. They will always be in his heart.  He treasured all of them especially his cousin Glenn Clothey and closest friend Arthur Boardway.

Michael is survived by his children, Timothy and Erin Paul; his parents Robert and Ann (McGroarty) Paul, his sisters, Nancy Dullea, Jennifer Kelley and her husband Wayne; his mother-in-law Phyllis Luzinski; his sisters and brothers in law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting Hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, corner of North St, Salem.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Murphy Funeral Home.
