Michael J. Kelleher, age 60, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 23, 2012. Born in Salem, Michael was the son of the late Francis J. and Anne T. (Kennedy) Kelleher. Mr. Kelleher was a graduate of Salem High School and had been a resident of the City all of his life. Following High School, Mr. Kelleher attended Connecticut College in New Haven, Connecticut.

Mr. Kelleher was employed with the United States Postal Service in Salem Massachusetts. He was a letter carrier for over 30 years, retiring two years ago. Mr. Kelleher had a passion for traveling. He traveled extensively through Europe, the United States and Bermuda. He was also a member of the AOH Division 18, Salem.

Surviving him is his sister and brother in law, Ellen M. Kelleher and Ben Di Iorio of Salem. Mr. Kelleher was also the grandson of the late Patrick and Ellen Kennedy of Tralee, Ireland.

Mr. Kelleher's Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 12 P.M. at the Murphy Funeral Home,85 Federal St., (Cor of North St.) Salem, MA 01970. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
