SALEM – Michael J. DiPietro, age 75 years, husband of Marlene M. (Krzesinski) DiPietro, died Monday afternoon at the Lahey Medical Center in Peabody.  Born in Lynn, son of the late Santo and Rosalyn (Dolaser) DiPietro, Michael was raised in Lynn and graduated from Saugus High School.  His career was with General Electric where he worked in the aircraft engine division.  He started as a Sheetmetal worker and retired after 46 years as an Inspector in 2011.

Mr. DiPietro enjoyed vacationing with his wife in Maine and most especially in Ogunquit.  He enjoyed camping, walking his dog Murdock and he was a huge Elvis fan.  One of his favorite pastimes was going out to eat and you could find him at the Century House enjoying his favorite Prime Rib Dinner.  He and his wife also enjoyed entertaining at their home.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are two sons David DiPietro and Daniel DiPietro, his daughter-in-law Allison, and his grandson Vincent.  He also has a niece, Lisa Bouley-Dayaa and her husband Akl Dayaa with their children Chamel, Joseph, and Aline; his nephew Robert Bouley and his wife Lisa Bouley with their children Caelee and Ally.  He also has many cousins on his side of the family.
