Peabody……

Michael Roy Chapman, age 37, a longtime resident of Bass River in Peabody, died Saturday October 30, 2010 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House Danvers following a three week battle with cancer.

Born in Salem, Michael had a happy disposition, had a contagious laugh, and loved to be hugged.
For several years, Michael had worked at Compass Enterprises in Melrose.
He enjoyed music and loved making music with his various instruments of music making. He also enjoyed watching football, hockey and attending the Harlem Globe Trotters games whenever they were in town.

He is survived by his mother Nadine (Trecartin) (Chapman) and her husband George Roumeliotis of Anderson, SC, his father Ken and his wife Mary Chapman of Beverly, a brother Mark of Grafton, a sister Jenifer and her husband Michael McCarthy of Athol and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
