Mehrnoush Bakhshandeh, formerly known as Lorraine Pierce Hardy, of Saugus and Beverly passed away on Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Salem Hospital.

Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late George Warren and Dorothy Hall Pierce. She attended Beverly schools where she graduated and went onto attend North Shore Community College and then Boston University.

Most of her life, she was a teacher of ESL students. She was a creative teacher and proud of the success of her students.

Mehrnoush enjoyed movies and reading and puzzles. She liked researching everything on the computer and playing computer games. She also enjoyed creative Lesson planning.

She is survived by: her brother George Warren Pierce IV of Maine; her brother Richard Pierce of Florida; and her sister Shirley Ganey of Danvers and their families. She was the mother of the late Jason Hardy of Beverly. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews and good friends.
