Maureen A Morrison

Maureen Ann Morrison, 77, of Salem, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Massachusetts, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Maureen was born on October 2, 1948, to Daniel (“Bill”) and Ann McNeill in Newton, Massachusetts. She was the oldest of eight children and grew up in Brighton, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Brighton High School.

After high school, Maureen began a long career with Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she worked for more than 35 years as an administrative assistant. In 1991, she married Richard Morrison. Maureen and Richard spent more than 20 happy years of marriage together until Richard’s passing in 2011.

Maureen was the loving mother of Lynne St. Andre of Charlestown, Massachusetts, and mother-in-law of Marc St. Andre. She was also the proud and devoted grandmother of Will, who brought her immeasurable happiness and held a special place in her heart.

Maureen loved to dance, take long walks, cultivate her garden, and cheer on the New England Patriots. She will be remembered for the joy and laughter she brought to those around her and for the love she shared with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband Richard, Maureen was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Ann, her brothers Daniel, Paul, and Brian, her sister Carol, and her niece Diane. She is survived by her brother Gary of Peabody, Massachusetts, her brother Richard and his wife Eileen of West Lebanon, New Hampshire, and her brother Michael and his partner Mary Ann Callahan of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Maureen’s life will take place on September 29, 2026, in Salem, Massachusetts. Visiting hours will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Murphy’s Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, followed by a Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Boulevard at 11:30 am.
