Matthew P. Adario, age 34, husband of Jamie (Taylor) Adario, passed away Saturday December 13, 2014 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born in Lynn, Matt was raised in Salem. He was a graduate of North Shore Technical High School. While attending North Shore Tech, Matt played football and was a key defensive player during their 1997 undefeated season where they went on to win the Superbowl. Matt also served as captain for the Bulldogs during their 1998 season.


While growing up, Matt was very caring and protective of his younger brothers. He loved to cook and always insisted everyone had more than enough to eat. he also had a very original sense of humor. but most especially he was a warm and compassionate father to his children. He was quick to reach out to help others and had a big heart.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are his three children, Samantha, James and Salvatore "Salvy" Adario all of Lynn, his parents, Paul and Mary (Gaudet) Adario of Salem; his brothers, Chris and Craig Adario both formerly of Salem; his mother-in-law Pamela Taylor, his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Adario and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Salvatore Adario and his Maternal Grandparents Alfred and Frances Gaudet.


Matt's Funeral Service will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (corner of North St) Salem on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Internment will be held privately, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Learn to Cope North Shore, c/o NSMC Salem Hospital, 81 Highland Ave, Salem, Ma 01970.
