Urbanski
February 25, 1933 – April 15, 2020
Mary (Rizzotti) Urbanski, 87, passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2020 after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Theodore (Ted) Urbanski, her high school sweetheart, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage with.
A lifelong resident of Salem, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Grace (Tricomi) Rizzotti. She graduated from Salem High School in 1950 where she met her husband Ted. They got married in 1954 and raised 6 children. In addition to raising their children Mary and Ted enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and Polka dancing.
She worked at Sylvania while her children were growing up and then went to work part-time at Salem City Hall until her retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family playing games, cooking, or sitting around talking. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, shopping on QVC, and spending time with her sister Polly.
Mary is survived by her husband Ted, her children: Ted Urbanski of Peabody, Paula Donnelly and her husband Larry, of Lynn, Lawrence Urbanski and his wife Janice, of Boxford, Stephen Urbanski and his wife Janice, of Beverly, Maria Bouchard and her husband Tom, of Peabody, and Carol LeBlanc and her husband Shawn, of Peabody. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Stephen Urbanski, Meghan and Tim Lever, Nichole Urbanski, Jenn and Paul Messina, Kristen Donnelly, Lauren Donnelly, Christopher Urbanski, Emily Bouchard, Sydnie LeBlanc, and Cody LeBlanc as well as her great-granddaughter Evelyn Lever. Mary also leaves behind her sister Pauline Tribou as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers: Steve, Frank, Orlando, and Sammy Rizzotti; and her sister Margaret O'Donnell.
Her family wishes to thank North Shore Elder Services, Bayada Healthcare, Suburban Home Health Care, and her physician and staff at Care Dimensions for all the care they provided her. They would especially like to thank her two aides Sujelle and Sylvia for all their love and care.
Due to current events a memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in Mary's name can be made to North Shore Elder Service, Danvers MA.
