Mary "Polly" (Potter) Papalardo, age 88, beloved wife of the late Samuel Papalardo, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 8, 2014 after a short illness.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Farrell) Potter. Mary was employed at Ralph L. Williams in Boston for 35 years. When she retired, she owned and operated Antiques and Uniques of Salem, with her husband Sam. She loved boating and traveling with her husband prior to his death in 2002.

She leaves one son, Lennie Papalardo and his wife Vicki of Salem, a granddaughter, Jill Field and a grandson Brad Papalardo and his wife Meghan, two great grandchildren, Kayla Field and Jack Papalardo. She also leaves a sister Patricia "Pat" Salvo of Salem and a brother William Potter and his wife Mary of Hamilton. Mary was predeceased by a sister, Margaret "Peg" MacDonald formerly of Sandwich, MA.

Mrs. Papalardo's Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) Salem at11:30 A.M. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
