MARBLEHEAD: Mary Ann (Monaco) Bethune, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at MGH Boston following a lengthy illness. Married over 42 years, she was the loving wife of Earl H. Bethune.

Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late John and Christina (White) Monaco and a 1961 graduate of Lynn English HS.

She is also survived by 4 daughters, Maria Whitman of Seabrook, NH; Sharon Bolduc (Donald) of Stratham, NH; Betsye Hardwick (Stephen) of Middleton; Sandi Adams of Wilmington, NC; 9 grand children, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 Brothers, John Monaco (Carolyn) of Topsfield; Dennis Monaco (Ann) of West Newbury; Christopher Monaco (Merel) of Marblehead, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Prior to retirement, Mary Ann worked at Marblehead High School for 25 years as the school's Registrar.

Visiting Hours will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, Salem, on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 11am-2pm. Service at 2pm.
