Mary Louise McGrath Lyness, beloved wife of Vincent Lyness; loving mother of Michael, Chris and Anne (Howard) Ward; loving grandmother of Chris (Christine), Louise and William; and great grandmother of Hunter and Lila. She will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.

Her faith sustained her throughout her long, fulfilling life, and she was a regular presence in both of her parishes, Star of the Sea in Marblehead and St. Edwards in Palm Beach.

She will be remembered for her warm, generous spirit, quick wit and gratitude for life. Among her many passions were children, cats, dogs, birds, art, golf, dancing with her beloved husband, and the Marblehead Garden Club. She loved living on the ocean and observing nature from her window. She was proud to have served as a Girl Scout group leader in Marblehead for years. She was extremely proud of her heritage and made frequent trips to McGrath Park in Salem.

Her Funeral will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead on Tuesday October 27th, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
