Mary Louise "Mary Lou" LaRoque, 83, of Salem passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on the afternoon of Friday November 9, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House.
Mary Lou was born in December of 1934 where she was raised by her parents George and Louise Busteed in Salem, MA. Growing up, she attended school at Saint James School in Salem.
After her education, she went onto work for Parker Brother Games and Barnsider Management throughout her life. Outside of her work, she was the loving wife to Paul LaRoque for 64 years where they began and raised their family in Salem for many years before moving to Peabody.
Outside of her family, Mary Lou enjoyed shopping and reading. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and will be truly missed by all she encountered.
Mary Lou is survived by: her husband Paul LaRoque of 64 years; her daughter Kristen LaRoque of Beverly; her granddaughter Ally Leon of Middleton, her grandson Vance Kaminski of Beverly; her great grandchildren Silas and Oliver Leon of Middleton; her sister Diane Bona of Salem; her nieces Julie Bona Vetro, Stephanie Bona, Amy Busteed Harrigan, and Crissy Busteed; her nephews Stephen Bona, Joseph Bona, Nicholas Bona, and Craig Busteed; and her best friend Sue Huuskonen. She is also predeceased by her parents George and Louise Busteed and her brother Billy Busteed.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will take place on Thursday November 15, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. Funeral services will be held on Friday November 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. James Parish, located at 160 Federal St, Salem. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery located at 57 Orne St, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Mary Lou's memory and a special thank you to all of the loving and caring staff within their facility.
