Mary Frances Kathleen (Waytis) Grenier age 68 of Peabody, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning in North Shore Medical Center-Union Campus, Lynn.

Born in Peabody the daughter of the late Frank and Estelle (LaMonde) Waytis, she was raised and educated in Salem. After completing her education, she became employed in the shoe industry in Lynn for many years and retired from the shipping department of Barry Shoe in Lynn.

Dedicated to her family, Mrs. Grenier enjoyed reading the daily paper. She also had a wonderful time being with her friends, going to eat at Capone's Restaurant and playing bingo at the Peter A. Torigian Community Life Center in Peabody. Her family remembers her as being the "best mother" and as a great friend who will be missed by many.

Mrs. Grenier is survived by a daughter Theresa Waytis and her partner Dianne Cambo of Munson, MA.

She was predeceased by a sister Estelle Malena.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 8 South Common St., Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be immediately before her funeral Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
