Obituary

Hull, Mary E. (Sullivan), 93 of Marblehead, died peacefully at Kaplan House, February 7, 2018.  Mary was born in Roxbury to Michael and Mary (Glennan) Sullivan.  She grew up in Roxbury where she attended schools there before moving to Brighton.  While living in Brighton, she met and married Lawrence whom she spent 70 years of marriage with.  Moving to Marblehead in the mid-forties, Mary became an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish where she made many friends.

Mary enjoyed bowling, and avid cribbage player and traveling with her husband and friends.  She made many trips to Ireland, the Bahamas, Cape Cod and across the country.  Family and friends were paramount in her life and she loved spending time with them.

Mary is predeceased by her husband Laurie.  She is survived by her four children, Mary Hull (Steve Stearns), Stephen Hull ( Jane), Karen Hull Bird (Steven), Michael Hull (Lisa).  She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Jennifer Bird, Caitlin Bird Johnson (Jarod), Michael Hull and Joshua Hull.  Her three great grandchildren, Avery Bird Johnson, Cameron Peter Johnson and Brooke Hull Johnson.  She is also survived by her three sisters, Kathleen, Alice and Frances Sullivan of Brighton and her brother in law, Mark Foley along with several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:30 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead.  Burial will be private at the request of the family.  Funeral arrangements by Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, Salem, MA 01970.

We would like to thank Karen Murphy, and all the caregivers at Partners, Care Dimensions, North Shore Elders, Kaplan House and all those who took such great care of Mary.  And we would like to thank Laurel, Rit, Jeanne and Gennie for being such wonderful friends.
