Salem – Mary P. (Griffin) Guerrette, age 85, wife of Philip Guerrette, died peacefully early Saturday morning August 13, 2016 at her home. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Gill) Griffin. She was a graduate of Salem High School in the class of 1948 and had lived in Salem most of her life.

Mrs. Guerrette married her loving husband Philip in 1950 and was a devoted wife. She enjoyed caring for children at the Greenhouse School in Salem. She was a member of the Ste. Anne Choir in Salem where she was also a communicant. Mrs. Guerrette was an avid gardener, but most especially she loved taking care of her family.

Surviving her in addition to her husband of 66 years are her children, Katherine M. Guerrette of Salem, Lauren M. Hosman and her husband Albert of Kingston, NH, Stephen Guerrette and his wife Keri-Beth Guerrette of Lynn, her grandchildren, Jennifer L. (Hosman) Peaster of Converse, TX, Albert L. Hosman IV and Elizabeth Hosman of Everett, Mickayla M. DiLorenzo of Leverett, Michael E. Guerrette of East Boston, Matthew P. Guerrette of Lynn, Lily B. Guerrette of Lynn, one great grandchild Maegan Peaster and one brother Robert J. Griffin of Ten Mile, Tenn. She was pre-deceased by her eldest son Brian Guerrette who died in 1968 and her brother Rev. John J. Griffin.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave, Salem of Saturday August 20, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem following Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
