Mary Helen Agnes Moran, age 77 years, died Sunday afternoon January 27, 2013 at her residence. Born in Peabody , Ms. Moran was the daughter of the late John J. and Helen A. (Walsh) Moran, Sr. Ms. Moran attended St. James School and graduated from St. James High School . She had been a resident of Salem all of her life.

Following High School, Ms. Moran graduated from Catherine Labouré School of Nursing and continued her education, graduating from Boston College with her Masters in Nursing. Ms. Moran's nursing career spanned over 40 years working in Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Private Care Nursing. Ms. Moran loved flowers, gardening and caring for her beloved silky terrier, Benji.

Surviving her are her sister in law, Karen Anne Moran of Salem, her nieces and nephews, Julie Ann Moran of Salem, Christopher M. Moran and his wife Autumn of Marblehead, MaryAnn Crews and her husband Eddie of Oxford, NC, and John F. Moran and his wife Michelle of Lake Forest, IL, and seven grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late John J. Moran, Jr.

Ms. Moran's funeral will be held from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. , (cor. of North St ) Salem on Friday at 8:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anne Church, 292 Jefferson Ave. , Salem at 9:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem .
