Martin Thomas Field, age 51, loving husband of Maura (Henry) Field of Marblehead, died unexpectedly Friday evening, April 2, 2010 in North Shore Medical Center, Salem.
Born in Salem the son of the late James A. and Mary (Shea) Field, he was raised and educated in Marblehead. Mr. Field attended Our Lady Star of the Sea School, Marblehead and was graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School, Peabody.
More recently he has operated Under Pressure, a maintenance and construction company in Marblehead. Additional obituary information will appear in Wednesday's edition of the Salem News.
In addition to his wife, Maura, he is survived by a brother Rev. James A. Field, Pastor of Incarnation Parish in Melrose.
He was predeceased by a brother John G. "Gerry" Field.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 10:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (cor of North ST) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 81 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
