Beverly……

Marlene F. (Maifeld) Jalbert, age 76 of Beverly died unexpectedly Thursday in Beverly Hospital.

She was born in Swampscott the daughter of the late John and Eileen (Dillon) Maifeld and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. Mrs. Jalbert then became employed by Sylvania Lighting until beginning her family.

Later, she became employed by Deschamps Printing in Salem for 25 years until retiring in 2003.

A loving mother and dedicated grandmother, she enjoyed being with her family and worked hard to provide for them.

Mrs. Jalbert is survived by three children Cheryl Jalbert and her partner Sandra Wedgwood of Beverly, Heidi Gallo and her husband Michael of Beverly and Wendy Fraser of Danvers; and also Craig Jalbert and his wife Evelyn of Guilford, NH; a brother Jack Maifeld of Beverly and eight grandchildren Raymond T. , Jonathan R., and Amanda Fraser all of Danvers, Dylan A., Conor J., Blake S. and Olivia A. Sullivan and Sophia L. Gallo all of Beverly.

She was predeceased by her former husband Armand Jalbert.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. Salem to be followed by Funeral services at 11:00 A.M. in St Peter's Episcopal Church, 24 St. Peter St., Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Beverly.
