Marisol Santiago, 49 of Salem Massachusetts passed away suddenly on Monday, July 10th, 2017. She was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on November 11th 1967.

She is survived by 4 children, Jordin Antonio Rivera, Javier Jose Torres, Nilito Manuel Torres and Maritza Dolores Castillo. Her mother is Carmen Luz Sanitago and Father is Hector Nilo Encantara. She had 3 brothers Luis Vega, Jose Vega, Miguel Vega and many other relatives as well.

She was engaged to James Marchesini whom she loved and cared about dearly.

Marisol loved to cook and was outgoing and outspoken. She loved helping people and always wanted to feed everyone. She even talked about being buried with a plate of food. :)

She talked to everyone about her children and how proud she was of each and everyone of them. Marisol looked forward to visits with her children and was always excited to see them. Marisol also loved her PCA Vikki Nguyen who was with her everyday. Marisol looked forward to her time with Vikki whom she would joke around with and confide in. She would always say Vikki was not just her PCA but her family as well.

Marisol showed us all strength and resilience throughout her life by overcoming many obstacles that you would not even imagine one person could overcome. Before her passing she spoke of forgiveness and the importance of it and the importance of her family and friends.

Let us celebrate her life and remember all of the wonderful memories we have of Marisol and know that she is at peace. Visiting Hours will be held at Wesley Methodist Church, 8 North Street, Salem, MA 01970 on Friday July 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM followed by the burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
