Marie (Blake) Cashman, age 91 wife of the late Leonard J. Cashman of Marblehead, died on Sunday, October 21, 2012, in the Devereux House Nursing Home.
Born in Salem, the daughter of the late James and Alice (Mulcahy) Blake, she was raised and educated in Marblehead, graduating from Marblehead High School in the Class of 1939. Mrs. Cashman had been employed at the Marblehead Messenger, the Town Store, and retired after many years working at the National Grand Bank bookkeeping department.
Mrs. Cashman is survived by two children, James B. and his wife Evie (Richards) Cashman of Lynn and Marie Cashman Kolczynski and her husband Norbert of Falls Church, VA and three grandchildren Daniel Cashman of North Hampton, Elizabeth Cashman of Hadley, and Andrew Kolczynski of Falls Church, VA.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Marblehead. At the family's request, visitation will be private. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Susan G.
