Marie T. (Rowe) Brophy age 78, wife of Thomas Brophy of Salem died at home Thursday morning.
Born in Lynn the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Florence A. (Kelley) Rowe, she was graduated from St. Mary's Girls High School, Lynn in the Class of 1946. A loving, wonderful mother and wife she had been employed by New England Telephone in Salem, Lynn and Boston.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brophy is survived by three children Christine Preston, Virginia Cocchi and Stephen Brophy; a brother John F. Rowe; 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother Joseph H. Rowe, Jr and a sister Catherine H. Griffi
th.

Private funeral services were held under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem.
