Maria Fatima Silva, 85 of Peabody, Ma, wife of Manuel Picanço Silva died peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Luz, Graciosa, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antiono and Emma Bettencourt. She emigrated to this country in 1970 settling in Peabody where she has since resided.

Mrs. Silva had been employed by Altron Corporation in Wilmington before her retirement.

Mrs. Silva was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody. Loved praying the rosary.  She was faithful and always praying for her family.  Loved working in her flower and vegetable garden.  She loved making food for her family and loved spending time with them.  Loved being home, crocheting, and watching the old TV show Flipper with her husband.

In addition to her husband with whom she shared 63 years of marriage, she is survived by her children Filomena Bettencourt and her husband Joe of Seabrook, NH, John Silva and his wife Pam of Beverly, Ma, Suzie Silva her loving caretaker of Peabody, Ma and Diana and her husband Manny of Salem, Ma. Her 7 grandchildren Michael, Erica and Kali Bettencourt, Brian, Nicholas and Allison Silva and Nathan Santos. Her 5 great grandchildren Mackenzie and Maddison Bettencourt and Desmond, Charlotte and Hunter Silva. Many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Manuel and Carols Bettencourt and survived by her sister Herondina and brother- in- law, Manuel Cateno all of Graciosa, Azores
