Maria (Medeiros) DaRosa, age 73, wife of the late Antonio DaRosa, died Sunday May 17, 2015. Born in Povoacao, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Tavares) Medeiros. She was raised in Povoacao, St. Michaels, Portugal where she received her education.

Mrs. DaRosa was employed with Altron in Wilmington. She worked on the manufacturing of computer mother boards for the company for many years. Family was most important to Mrs. DaRosa. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and shopping and being with her family. She was very dedicated to her grandchildren.

Surviving her is her daughter Elizabeth DaRosa and her fiancé Donald M. Masters of Peabody, her brothers and sisters, Joseph Medeiros and his wife Terry of Middleton, Paul Medeiros and his wife Barb of Waltham, Naila Soares and her husband Mario of Peabody, Leontina Almeida and Gilbert of Las Vegas, Luisa Pereira and her husband Joe of Peabody, Helen Quadros of Lowell, her sisters in law, Rosa Medeiros of Port Lucie, FL, Fatima Botelho of Lynn, Aura Medeiros of Montreal Canada, Jean Jaynes of Peabody and eight grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Paul Medeiros, Sr and brother of the late Tony Botelho, Manny, John and Frank Medeiros.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, One Margin St., Peabody at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours at the Funeral Home on Wednesday May 20, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
