Maria Kondon passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2020 in Beverly, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Lillian.

Born on January 30, 1950 Maria grew up in Salem, Massachusetts. She graduated from Salem High School and Connecticut College for Women exemplifying academic excellence. She continued her education and received a Master of Zoology degree from the College of William and Mary.

Maria will be remembered for her sense of humor and how she enjoyed socializing, including dining out. Poetry, writing and crocheting, in particular, were her favorite hobbies. Many of Maria's friends and family members have beautiful works of art that she spent hours creating for them. She loved her family and her sweet cat Fluffy. Maria will be missed and not forgotten.

The family would like to extend a loving thank you to all who had cared for Maria at Care One – Essex Park in Beverly, Massachusetts.

She is survived by her sisters Amelia Andreoni and her husband Robert, Elizabeth Sadoski and her husband John, nieces Jessica Colombo and family, Nicole Sadoski and fiancé, her aunt Janet Mamalis and her cousins and their families.

Maria was laid to rest next to her mother during a private burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Salem, Massachusetts on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. In remembrance of Maria, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were handled by the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Salem.
