IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maria
Eugenio
August 24, 1940 – November 12, 2024
Maria (Inoia) Eugenio, 84 of Peabody passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Lahey Burlington after a battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose Eugenio with whom she shared 36 years of marriage until his passing in 1995.
She was born on August 24, 1940 on the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores, and was the cherished daughter of the late Jose and Ines Pimentel
Maria emigrated from Sao Miguel Azores in 1964. She settled in Peabody with her Husband and three children. She worked tirelessly at the local lather factories, and in addition to her career, was a devoted caregiver spending countless hours looking after children-whether her own or those of family and friends. She had a natural gift for nurturing and loved more than helping others, always putting the needs of others above her own. Her home was a haven for many, a place of warmth, comfort, and endless love. She loved making family dinners, and making her famous Portuguese sweet bread, and Rice Pudding. Maria was a woman of quiet grace, yet her strength and determination were evident in everything she did. Her ability to balance work, family, and kindness made her a role model to all who knew her. She was a constant source of wisdom, compassion, and humor and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She was deeply loved, and will never be forgotten.
