Maria Conçeiãõ Cordeiro 71, passed away Christmas evening. She was the late wife of José for the last 54 years. She was the late daughter of Antonio & Rosa Bettencourt.

Maria moved to the States when she was 16 years old after marrying her husband José in Graciosa. Once in America Maria worked for a couple of jobs before landing a job at Alpha. She worked there for 23 years as a computer board assembler.

Maria fought a short but courageous battle with cancer. Maria had deep love for all family and friends, especially her "afilhada" Diane Arroyo. Maria leaves behind her husband José, son Joseph and his wife Deborah (Holmes) Cordeiro, her beloved granddaughter Sofia Rosa and her best friend and twin sister Bemvinda. As well many more family members in Canada, including more family & friends in the State. Awaiting her in heaven are her parents Antonio & Rosa and her other beloved granddaughter Catalina Sara.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 9am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Walsh Ave in Peabody. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 4-7pm at the Murphy Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
