Margaret T. Anthony, age 68, of Salem, died at Salem Hospital - NSMC on Thursday July 30, 2015 following a brief illness. Born in Salem the daughter of the late Philip and Mary (Sullivan) Anthony, she was raised and educated in Peabody. Following her graduation from High School she attended Burdette Business School. She started her career with the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. as a Private Sectary. Later she was employed by Raytheon in Burlington, MA until her retirement. She enjoyed the library and volunteering in local organizations.
She is survived by a sister Mary McNichol and her husband Tom of Framingham, a brother Philip Anthony and his wife Mary of Costa Mesa, CA, Robert Anthony and his wife Judy of Falmouth, MA and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem. Visitation will be prior to the services at Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St), Salem from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the North Shore Elder Services , 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 200 Danvers, MA 01923.
