Marcia F. (Donovan) Lambert 79, longtime resident of Salem, passed away suddenly on April 10, 2018. Born to the late William and Annette (Bois) Donovan in Dover, NH, she graduated from Lynn English High School with the class of 1957 and Burdett School of Business, 1958. Beloved wife of the late Robert Lambert, who predeceased her in 1987. Dear and devoted mother of Brian Lambert, of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Lambert McKenna and her Loving Companion, Peter Appiani, of Danvers and Julie Lambert Lemelin and her husband Charles of Gales Ferry, CT. She also leaves her siblings David W. Donovan and wife Patricia of Springfield, MA and William F. Donovan, Jr. and his wife Linda of Andover, MA, She was a devoted grandmother, "Grams", to Lauren, Ashley, Nicholas, Madison, Maxwell, and Alexis. She will also be lovingly remembered by several cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. She was regarded by many as "The Flower of Salem".
Marcia worked at Solid State Products, Legend Advertising, The Honey Baked Ham Company as Advertising Coordinator, and Simpson Garden Design as a Horticultural Design Specialist…living out her lifelong passion for plants and flowers.
Always selfless and generous, she devoted her time and leadership to many organization and causes, including the Salem Recycling Committee, the Salem Beautification Committee, The Salem Garden Club, Salem State Advisory Board, South Salem Neighborhood Association, and Treasurer for the Lynn English High School Reunion Committee.
After a trip to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower she had a passion for collecting small replicas of the Tower that she used as props with her numerous flowers and plants throughout her home.
She was a parishioner of St Anne's Parish in Salem.
Marcia had spent her last 3 months at Putnam Farm Assisted Living in Danvers and was an active participant in just about every activity that was available and donated over 50 gardening books to help start a new library section.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 16, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located on 85 Federal St. Salem. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 12PM at the Immaculate Conception Church, located at 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem, MA 01970.
