Salem, MA -- Marc Hawlena, 66, passed away December 29, 2017 after a brief illness. Born in Argentina in 1951, he was educated in the U.S., graduated from Northeastern University, and married in 1975. For many years he worked in the maritime industry. And for more than three decades he was a faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Beers), daughter Kimberly Hawlena Clarkson, son-in-law Jeff Clarkson, and granddaughter Dylan Rose. He also leaves his brothers Fred Hawlena and John Minnis, and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 am at Grace Episcopal Church in Salem, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church.
