Peabody…..

Manuel Quadros, age 51 of Peabody died at Massachusetts General Hospital on Monday October 15, 2012. Born on Portugal's Island of Graciosa in the Azores, he is the son of the late Orlando and Maria (Correia) Quadros.

Mr. Quadros was raised and educated in Salem and later in Peabody. A former employee of Altron in Wilmington, he enjoyed music and had played clarinet for the Peabody Philharmonic Band. He was also a member of the Holy Ghost Society.

Mr. Quadros is survived by a sister Maria I. Santos and her husband Deodato of Peabody; three brothers, John M. Quadros and Antonio M. Quadros and wife Cathleen of Peabody and Francisco J. Quadros and his wife Orphia of Lynn; an uncle, Manuel Correia and his wife Maria of Salem; three aunts, Celeste Goncalves of the Azores, Luzia Dosanjos of Canada and Leonor George and her husband Americo of the Azores; and two nieces and six nephews and many cousins.

His funeral will be held on Friday from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem, at 8:00AM to be followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Walsh Ave Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday day from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
