Lucille (O'Connor) Hillery, of Lynn, died Saturday, September 20, 2008 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John Rogers Hillery.
Lucille was born and raised in Salem the daughter of the late Ursula (Keefe) O'Connor and the granddaughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Kirby) Keefe.
She was educated at Ste. Chretienne Academy in Salem the graduated in 1942. She then went to Trinity College in Washington, D.C. and graduated in 1946.
She is survived by one son John Keefe Hillery of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters Ann LaFortune of Danvers and Ursula O'Connor of Salem. She is also survived by a nephew Arthur LaFortune and his wife Jean and their three children Brent, Renee and Beth all of Danvers.
A gathering of relatives will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 9:00 AM in the Murphy Funeral Home 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. James Chapel, 161 Federal St., Salem. Interment will be in St. Mary' Cemetery, Sylvan ST., Danvers. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Special Olympics, 1133 19th St, Washington, DC 20036-3604.
