Marblehead……

Lucille B (Girourard) Drennan, age 92, wife of the late Robert Drennan, of Marblehead, died early Wednesday in the Kaplan Family Hospice House.

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Eugene and Nettie ( Therrien ) Girourard, Mrs. Drennan had worked with her mom for several years at the former Warwick Restaurant. Later she walked to work from Rowland St to Mayflower Cleansers for over 30 years until retiring at the age of 82.

Dedicated to her family, she enjoyed reading, was known for her embroidery and loved her animals.

She is survived by two children, Garry R. Drennan and Donna L Carey and her husband Chuck all of Marblehead; a brother Eugene Girouard; six grandchildren Jodi Bue, Heath Drennan, Josh Drennan, Heather McCarthy, Michele Rodrigues and Catherine Carey; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was predeceased by a daughter Betty Connors; a brother, former Marblehead Police Chief George Girard and a grandson Mark Carey.

Her graveside funeral service was held on Saturday in Waterside Cemetery, 294 Westshore Drive, Marblehead. At the family's request there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marblehead Animal Shelter,
