Lori Ellen Cotter, 51, the daughter of Cynthia Nutter of Wenham and the late William Cotter, Sr. of Beverly, Passed away unexpectedly at home on February 5, 2015. Lori grew up in Beverly and graduated from North Shore Vocational and Technical High School in Beverly. She had lived in Salem for several years, returning to Beverly 2 years ago.
Lori was a nature lover and since childhood especially enjoyed her times spent at Lake Winnipesaukee. She loved a good book and watched movies, in particular those stories involving animals. She was a caregiver to many feral cats and with the help of her partner Phil was able to have many of them spayed and neutered.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her partner of 22 years, Preston "Phil" Ferraro, her children: Patrick Evan Cotter (Tamika), Derek Scott and Heather Rose; a granddaughter Janazia Marie; her sister Lane, her cousin and friend Heidi Grant Farsi, and many extended family members, and her beloved cat, Pierre.
She was predeceased by her brother William Cotter, Jr., sister in law Dorothy and maternal grandmother Lucille Nutter.
