Lois "Bud" (Gould) Fowler, age 96, wife of the late Richard Burns and Chester Kingsley, died Wednesday January 28, 2015 at the North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Clinton R. and Marion (Barton) Gould. She was a graduate of Marblehead High School. She continued her education at Garland Jr. College and received her Bachelor's Degree from Simmons College.
Mrs. Fowler started her career with Bonwit Teller in Boston on Newbury Street working as a Bridal Consultant and buyer. She became part of the management team with Filenes at the North Shore Shopping Center in the Cosmetics Department. At the time of her retirement, she was working with C'est La Vie and Paper Moon in Marblehead. Mrs. Fowler was very well known for her style.
Surviving her are her three children Peter G. Burns of Cambridge, Paul "Motor" Burns of Marblehead and Ret. Det. Sgt. Marion K. Keating Marblehead Police Department and her husband Michael Keating of Marblehead. She was also the grandmother of Sgt. Jason Conrad and his wife Jacqueline and Brianna Keating all of Marblehead, great grandmother of Emma Conrad of Marblehead and had several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Lucien Gould who passed three weeks ago.
Her services will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) Salem on Thursday February 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be held at Murphy Funeral Home on Wednesday February 4, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
