Lois R. Devine, age 61, wife of Joel Cassidy of Salem, passed away at Beverly Hospital on Thursday, November 24, following a brief illness.

Lois was born and raised in Marblehead, where she also attended school.  Over the course of her life, Lois pursued a variety of interests.  Known for her quick wit and great sense of humor, Lois could always make people laugh.  Lois was also gifted with extraordinary intuition and an innate ability to connect with people on a spiritual level.  For these reasons, people often looked to her for advice and guidance in various matters of life.  Lois's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, Ella and Foster. Her love and devotion to them was profound.

In addition to her husband Joel, Lois is survived by her daughter Jill and her husband Daniel Bittner, her brother L. Franklin Devine and his wife MaryPat, her brother Bill Devine, her sister Ruth Montville, as  well as several nieces and nephews.
