Salem – Linda Aurora Harrison, aged 91, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Kaplan Estates, after a battle with cancer. Linda was born in San Alejo, El Salvador to Desiderio Guardado, and Amparo Guardado Paz, on December 28, 1930. Before moving to America, Linda graduated from Nursing School in El Salvador, and after moving to Salem Linda got another degree from Salem State University in 1980. Linda worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, and eventually retired.

When not with her family enjoying the city that she loved – Salem – Linda was filling her life with music and dancing, and would watch the religion channel whenever she could as a devoted Catholic.

Linda is survived by her children, Mark Harrison and his daughters Stephanie and Danielle, Eric Harrison and his wife Gia and daughter Jenae, Barry Harrison and his wife Blanca and their children, Linda and Harry, and Barry's daughter Paula and grandchildren Alexis, Lilianna and Kylie, and her son James Harrison and his wife Erika, and their children Shawn and Erika; as well as a sister, Ceilia Emerson. Linda is also survived by her life long friend Angela Tenedios, and her more recent friend Joanne Gates. Linda is preceded in death by her husband Wilfred Harrison, her parents, and her grandson Brian Harrison.

Visiting hours for Linda will be held on Monday, the 18 ^th of July 2022 from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal Street, Salem. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 and will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 1 Margin Street, Peabody. Interment will follow immediately after, and will be held at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Linda's name to the Salem Council of Aging, located at 401 Bridge Street, Salem MA 01970.
