Lillian Y. (Morneau) Pelletier, age 85, wife of the late Eugene Pelletier died unexpectedly Sunday evening March 1, 2009 in Beverly Hospital.

Born in Nashua, NH the daughter of the late Aurele and Angelina (Michaud) Morneau, Mrs. Pelletier was raised and educated in Salem. Following her graduation from St. Joseph's School, Mrs. Pelletier was employed at both Salem Hospital and Salem Laundry.

Mrs. Pelletier and her husband had married in St. Joseph's Church, Salem where they were active communicants for several years. Since her late husband's death and the closing of St. Joseph's Church, she had been a member of St. Anne's Church

Mrs. Pelletier is survived by her niece and Goddaughter Joanne (Riley) Sims and her husband Retired Peabody Police Officer, Hanford "Hank" Sims of Salem ; a nephew Norman Riley and his wife Linda and their Children Bethany and Joseph all of Danvers as well as a large extended family of additional nieces nephews cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by three sisters Loretta Riley, Yvette Morneau and Rita Morneau and a brother Lionel Morneau.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00 A.M. in St. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be immediately before the funeral from 8:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
