Lewis (Louie) C. Landolfi, age 90. Husband of the late Margaret (DeFrancesco) Landolfi of Peabody, died Monday June 13, 2011 at Rosewood Nursing Home, Peabody.
Born in Danvers, the son of the late Joseph and Concetta (Paglia) Landolphi, he was raised and educated in Beverly. Once he completed his education, Mr. Landolfi became employed by the A.C. Lawrence Leather Co. After meeting his Beloved wife Margaret of over 40 years until here death of "Lou Gehrig's Disease" ALS. They spent days together at John DeFrancesco & Sons were Louie later became a partner in his farther-in-laws business. They also enjoyed vacations at the Allen "A" Resort in New Hampshire as well in their social life spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Landolfi enjoyed his many friends at local clubs , including the I.C.C. (Italian Community Center) in Beverly, and the Patria Lavoro in Beverly, as well as the Italian American Community Center in Peabody.
He was predeceased by brothers, Alphons Landolfi and Mario Landolfi and four sisters, Antoinetta DiLorenzo, Rose, Leanora and Bessie Landolfi, and his brother and sister-in-law, Patsy DeFrancesco and his wife Josephine , Joseph and and Gina Bonfanti and Michael Fusco.
He is survived by his brother and sisters-in-law Sam and his wife Jeanne DeFrancesco, Joseph and his wife Barbara DeFrancesco, Sara DeFrancesco, Josephine Fusco, Marie Munroe and Frances Landolfi, several nieces and nephews, and several Grand nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St James Church, 160 Federal St, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in his late wife memory to The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter .
