Leonardo "Lenny" Calandra, age 45, of Salem, died at the Kaplan family Hospice House in Danvers, MA on Saturday, September 8, 2007 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Son of Salvatore and Anna (Maccini) Calandra of St. Augustine, FL, formerly of Peabody, he is survived by his sister Lisa Creeson and brother Robert Calandra also of St. Augustine, FL.
Leonardo was a regular visitor to the Governor's Council at the Massachusetts State House, and attended classes at Berklee College of Music.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 10:30 A.M am from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM ins St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., (Salem/Peabody line). Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be immediately before the funeral Tuesday from 9:30A.M.to 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
