Leonard "Lenny" "Spock" Sadukis, Jr., renown computer expert, age 46, of Wenham, died Tuesday December 15, 2009 in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston following a courageous battle with cancer..
Born in Salem the son of Leonard and Dorothy (Murphy) Sadukis, Sr, of Wenham, he was raised in Wenham. Lenny had attended St Mary's the Annunciation Elementary School in Danvers, Bishop Fenwick High School and was graduated from Hamilton Wenham High School.
He then furthered his education at the Sylvania Technical School in 1987 and developed an insatiable appetite to know more about computers and become an innovative leader in computer architecture, assembly and repair. Mr. Saduikis' career and training included Hewlett Packard, Epson, Business Land, Novel, WYSE, Apple, DELL, NCR, IBM, Compaq and AST as well as many others. Lenny had a very successful career in the Computer Industry. He built a very impressive portfolio of many achievements, licenses and recognitions within the Apple Computer Corporation and the industry at large. He became highly sought after by the computer industry because of his expertise.
He was frequently recognized with letters of commendation from clients and companies for the great pride and was enthusiasm he took in offering professional, reliable and responsible service to clients.
No one who ever met Lenny forgot him, or did so easily. He touched the lives of so many people from all walks of life. People who knew him will recall his ability to achieve whatever he set his mind to do. He loved people, was known for his wonderful sense of humor and was a caring person with a positive outlook on life.
Lenny was also an accomplished artist and musician. His self trained methods yielded him a spectacular guitar and keyboard player, that would impress the best of the professionals. His achievements in music included live performances and wildly recognized peer admiration.
He was a dedicate Star Trek fan and loyal follower of Leonard Nimoy. It was an exciting moment for Lenny when he had the photo above taken with Leonard Nimoy this past November.
Above all, Lenny had a kind heart and a relationship with God that lead his life. He was a loving, thoughtful son, cared for others, and left judgment at the door when it came to helping them.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mary Saduikis Smith, of Danvers and Sharon Saduikis Roberts of Beverly; two nieces who he loved and adored Sara Dorothy Roberts and Ronica Mary Therese Saduikis ; a great aunt Marguerite "Peggy" Watson of Beverly; an aunt Mary Ricci of Montana and two cousins Mary Judith Talbot of Beverly and A. Jacqueline Hennessey of Salem.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Mary G. (Scahill) Murphy and John and Ursula Saduikis and his great grandmother Agnes B. Scahill
His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. in St. Paul's Church, 50 Union St, Hamilton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
