Leona "Lee" Rita (Roberts) Erwin, 75, formerly of Salem, MA and residing in Riverview, FL passed away peacefully at home on Friday April 29, 2016. She was born in Salem, MA and was the daughter of the late Pearl (Baker) Peters and Leo Roberts.

She was a long time resident of Salem, MA and helped her husband Sonny of 50 years to run Sonny's Auto Body and Towing at the same time raising their family. After retiring in 2003 Lee and Sonny moved to Florida where they loved going to Bush Gardens and enjoyed being with family and friends.

Lee was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, Cousin and Friend who loved her family and friends dearly.

Lees loving and genuine personality touched the hearts of all who knew and met her. She offered encouragement when there was silence, optimism when it was hard to find, and a hug when it was truly needed.

Leona was preceded in her passing by her husband of 50 years, Frederick H. Erwin Sr.

Leona is survived by her Father Clarke Peters (Ida), Sister Millie Bergeron, Son Frederick (Fred) Jr. (Christene), Daughter Judy (Scott Carroll), Granddaughter Kayla and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visiting hours will take place on Thursday May 19, 2016 from 4 to 7PM at the Murphy Funeral Home 85 Federal St. (corner of North St.) Salem, MA 01970. An additional hour of visitation will take place on Friday May 20, 2016 followed immediately by a graveside service at 12:30PM at Central Cemetery Butman Street Beverly, MA 01915.
