Salem – Leo O. "Rocky" Pelletier, age 87 years, loving husband of Joan Pelletier, passed away early Sunday morning March 17, 2019 at his home in the Salem Willows,  surrounded by his wife and sons.  Born in Salem on February 29, 1932, he was the son of the late Arthur and Alphonsine "Lena" ( Jalbert) Pelletier.  He was a graduate of Salem High School in the class of 1950.   Leo met the love of his life, Joan and married on June 14, 1957.

Leo was the proprietor of H + H Propeller for 47 years from 1952 to 1999, when his son continued the family business.  He was a member of Rotary International where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, a 4 ^th Degree Knights of Columbus and involved with the Boy Scouts of America and Catholic Charities.

Surviving him in addition to his loving wife are his adoring sons, Leo J. Pelletier and his wife Claire of Salem, John Pelletier and his wife Laura of Danvers, James Pelletier and his domestic partner Matthew of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his grandchildren, Lee, Logan, Ber and Becket, his Siblings Rita "Lakit" of Beverly, Lorraine of Beverly, Ernest of Middleton and many nieces and nephews.  He was pre deceased by his brothers Robert, Arthur, Albert and Raymond Pelletier.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019  at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, cornor of North St, Salem from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem, on Thursday March 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.  Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the Northshore Cancer Walk, c/o NSMC – Development Office, 81 Highland Ave, Salem, MA  01970.  For additional information or online guest book please call 978-744-0497 or visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com .
