Lena "Lee" Scialdone, age 84, died peacefully Monday evening, May 31, 2021, at her residence. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anita (Marchand) Scialdone. Lee was raised in Salem and graduated from Salem High School in the class of 1955. Lee was employed with Sylvania as a buyer for many years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She loved animals and had volunteered at the Northeast Animal Shelter.

Lee was raised next door to her aunt and uncle, and shares a special bond with her four cousins who are sisters to her, Susan Brudnick and her husband Jeff of Swampscott, Linda Pydynkowski and her husband Dave of Peabody, Janet Hutchinson and her husband Walt of Belmont, N.H., and Theresa Begin of Salem. She has many other special cousins including Trudy Pobiezinski and many friends. She was predeceased by her companion Leslie Farley.

Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, corner of North Street, Salem, on Thursday June 3 from 4 to 7 PM. Her funeral will be from the funeral home at 10 AM followed by a funeral Mass at St. Anne's Church, 292 Jefferson Ave, Salem at 11 AM. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
